The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is a global network of families who recognize God as the Creator and Heavenly Parent of all humanity. Our guiding principle is that our time on Earth is an opportunity to learn how to selflessly love others, and we strive to live by the concept of “living for the sake of others.”
Members of the Family Federation firmly believe that God’s original vision for the world was for us to develop into compassionate and mature individuals, establish strong families, and eventually create a worldwide society characterized by enduring peace.
We view the family as the initial school of love, and we believe that God intends for us to experience a diverse range of relationships in our lives. It is through these relationships—such as the love of children for their parents, the bond between siblings, the connection between spouses, and the love parents have for their children—that we can grasp and inherit the complete love of God.
The founders of the Family Federation, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs Hak Ja Han Moon, envision human potential unfolding in three stages: first, personal growth, integrity, and a deep love for others; second, forming loving families; and third, establishing a positive relationship with the world and responsibly managing its resources.
Working collaboratively with affiliated organizations, professionals, and interfaith groups, the Family Federation seeks practical ways to enhance every individual’s relationship with the environment and build bridges of understanding across cultural, religious, and national boundaries.
By acting in a spirit of love on behalf of God, we aim to cultivate a culture of compassion in this beautiful world, which we all share as our common home.
