A Journey of Devotion: Class of 2022 Missionaries Graduation
On the 22nd of October 2023, members of the Heavenly Parent Holy Community across the sub-region and special guests gathered to grace the Class of 2022 Missionaries Graduation Ceremony, a day of celebration and reflection on a remarkable journey. The ceremony involved 27 graduands of which 11 were from Benin Republic, 1 from Ghana, 5 from Liberia, 8 from Nigeria and 2 from Sierra Leone
The ceremony opened with the inspiring notes of the Cheon Il Guk Anthem. Mr. Godson Ogurie, the Cheon Il Guk Youth Special Envoy, led an opening prayer, setting the stage for a day steeped in spiritual significance. The audience felt an immediate connection to a higher calling.
HoonDokHae Reading by Mr. Record Jukwon Ojugbeli followed, an experience that united everyone in a shared moment of reflection and devotion. This was then complemented by a moving song presentation by Godson Ogurie, touching the hearts of all who listened.
Rev. George Ogurie, the Sub-Regional Director, took the stage, offering words of guidance and introducing the ceremony. His words emphasized the immense importance of the missionaries’ role in promoting peace and love, underscoring the gravity of the day’s proceedings.
Regional President Rev. Jean Pierre Kadima shared his thoughts, applauding the missionaries’ hard work and dedication, filling the hearts of the graduates with inspiration.
The program also included a presentation of reports on missionary programs and stirring testimonies from the missionaries. Their stories painted a vivid picture of their experiences and challenges, making it evident that this journey was not without obstacles.
In a proud moment, certificates were awarded to the graduates, led by the Sub-Regional Director and all National Leaders onsite. Each certificate symbolized not only their achievement but their unwavering commitment.
The day was filled with joy as mothers in Ghana serenaded the gathering with a congratulatory song, and congratulatory messages were shared by the Regional Vice President and CEWCC.
The ceremony reached its climax with the unveiling of the Sub-region West Website, a unison prayer, vote of Thanks by Nigeria’s National Leader, Rev. Imo Nkanta and thunderous cheers of “Eok Mansei.” The shared energy created an atmosphere of unity and hope for the future.
A family picture, a closing bow, and a heartwarming song and dance marked the end of this extraordinary event. The story of the Class of 2022 Missionaries was not just a celebration but a testament to the power of faith, dedication, and unity in the face of challenges. As they embarked on new journeys, they carried with them the spirit of love and peace that had guided their path.
