In a remarkable turn of events, Rev. Pamela Mwanga shared an extraordinary testimony highlighting the enduring efforts to secure a piece of land for the church in Liberia. The journey began with the initial attempt to acquire land, facing obstacles due to family disputes and complications. Despite undergoing war and subsequent challenges, the matter remained unresolved for over 25 years.During a 7-day workshop organized for pastors in Bong County, Liberia, a significant encounter occurred. A man connected to the family that owned the disputed property coincidentally visited the workshop venue and recognized Rev. Gerald Coleman, the former National Leader. This encounter opened a door for dialogue about the outstanding land issue.
Rev. Coleman informed the man about the workshop and the challenges the church faced regarding the disputed land. Expressing a willingness to resolve the matter, the man agreed to concede a portion of the land to the church. An appointment was arranged between him and the current church leader, Rev. Pamela M. Mwanga.
Following the settlement discussions, a second survey on Saturday, 23/2023 revealed inaccuracies in the deed information, specifying three lots instead of the actual four lots on the land. The family committed to rectifying this by creating a new deed, incurring a cost of two thousand USD for the legal process.
In a show of generosity, the family offered the entire property, including the additional land, at a cost of 150,000.00 USD. Negotiations are underway to determine payment terms and finalize the acquisition. This significant development marks a triumphant moment for the church in Liberia, as the Cheon Shim Won finds a new home after years of persistence and dedication.
