On Friday, March 8, 2024, a powerful message echoed through the halls of Lycée de Notsè and CEG Notsè ville 2 as over 1300 participants gathered to celebrate International Women’s Rights Day. Facilitated by the esteemed Mme BOUKPESSI Massalo YAKOUTO, the purpose of the event was clear: to create an environment conducive for witnessing and to advocate for the importance of schooling for young girls.
Under Mme BOUKPESSI’s guidance, participants delved into the theme of the day: “The importance of schooling for young girls and the law protecting learners against sexual violence in Togo.” Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking presentations, attendees gained valuable insights into the critical role education plays in empowering young girls and protecting them from harm.
In a powerful moment of unity and empowerment, Mme BOUKPESSI also took the opportunity to introduce the Divine Principle to the teaching staff and pupils. Their receptiveness and enthusiasm demonstrated a genuine interest in spiritual growth and enlightenment.
As the conference concluded, the impact of the day’s discussions lingered in the hearts and minds of all who attended. With a renewed commitment to promoting education and advocating for women’s rights, participants departed with a sense of empowerment and determination to create positive change in their communities.
