On February 15, 2024, the Peace Embassy-Godomey in Benin Republic radiated with an atmosphere of divine joy as a heartfelt pledge service unfolded to commemorate True Parent’s Holy Birthday and the 11th Anniversary of the founding of Cheon Il Guk. Led by the National Leader, Rev. Emmanuel Allognon, the Holy Day Pledge Service was a spiritual journey that brought members together in unity and gratitude.
The ceremony began with a sense of reverence as Rev. Emmanuel Allognon guided the congregation through the Holy Day Pledge Service, emphasizing the significance of the occasion. True Parent’s Holy Birthday is a sacred moment, symbolizing the birth of the founders of the Unification Church, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon. Their teachings have inspired and touched the lives of millions worldwide.
In the course of the pledge service, a Hoondokhae reading was conducted, fostering spiritual growth and reflection among the attendees. Hoondokhae, the practice of reading and discussing sacred texts, is a cornerstone of the Unification Church’s spiritual discipline. It serves as a source of guidance and inspiration for members seeking a deeper understanding of their faith.
The atmosphere during the service was one of joy and gratitude, with members coming together to share the fruits on the altar. This act symbolizes the commitment to giving back and expressing gratitude for the blessings received. The sense of community and shared spirituality created an uplifting environment, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
The event not only celebrated True Parent’s Holy Birthday but also marked the 11th Anniversary of the founding of Cheon Il Guk. Cheon Il Guk, which translates to “Kingdom of Heaven,” is a vision that encapsulates the ideals of harmony, peace, and unity for all humanity. The anniversary provided an opportunity for members to reflect on the progress made and recommit themselves.
