In a powerful expression of diplomatic outreach and peace-centered dialogue, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Togo led a key VIP visit to the National Assembly of Togo on Friday, May 30, 2025. The purpose of the visit was clear: to appreciate, solidify, and expand partnerships with government representatives who participated in the historic April 2025 Korea events and continue to express active interest in peace initiatives.
A Delegation with Purpose and Heart
The visiting delegation was led by Rev. Sassou, who was accompanied by the Secretary-General of UPF Togo, his assistant, and the newly appointed National Leader of FFWPU Togo. Together, this small but strategic team represented the hope, sincerity, and vision of our movement as they entered the heart of Togolese governance — the National Assembly.
There, they met with two prominent figures:
- The Director of Cabinet
- The Vice President of the Parliament of Togo
Both of these esteemed VIPs had represented their nation at the April 2025 providential events in Korea, standing as ambassadors for peace and as symbolic links between their government and the mission of the Heavenly Parent.
Reinforcing Peace as a National Priority
During this high-level meeting, the Vice President of Parliament and the Director of Cabinet expressed their full readiness to support UPF’s peace activities within Togo. This was more than a polite gesture — it was a commitment, a door opened wide for further engagement, collaboration, and even national-level recognition of UPF’s work.
This moment signified a maturing relationship between UPF and the institutions of the state. What was once a connection based on invitation and shared events has now grown into a mutual partnership, rooted in shared values: peace, dialogue, family, and development.
