On May 23, 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Liberia joined the world in commemorating World Football Day by organizing a vibrant event at the Dya Wulu Cooperative Learning Center in Monrovia. The celebration brought together young students and peace ambassadors for a day filled with unity, purpose, and passion for football—a global language that transcends borders.

The highlight of the event was a powerful keynote address delivered by Mr. Emmanuel Whien Yah, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a recognized Young Ambassador for Peace. He spoke passionately about the role of football in promoting teamwork, peace, and youth empowerment. His words encouraged the young participants to not only see football as a game but as a tool for leadership, discipline, and unity.

The atmosphere was alive with energy as students gathered in celebration, sharing their dreams and enthusiasm for the sport. For many, it was more than just a football day—it was a day of connection, vision, and purpose. The UPF’s presence reminded everyone that sports, when guided by heavenly values, can uplift hearts and build bridges between people and nations.
As Unificationists, we recognize that sports is a universal platform to cultivate heart, cooperation, and peace. Just as True Parents have often emphasized the importance of character education and physical development, events like this serve to nurture well-rounded future leaders who live for the greater good.
We’re grateful to all who participated and made this celebration meaningful. May the spirit of peace continue to grow through every game played, every connection made, and every young dream ignited.
