Sunday, June 8, 2025, marked a deeply significant moment in Nigeria’s spiritual journey — the 1-year anniversary of the Cheonshim Won Prayer Hall. This sacred space, inaugurated exactly one year ago by the Regional Director, Rev. George Ogurie, has become a center for national and personal transformation, divine communion, and unshakable faith in Nigeria’s providential course.
To commemorate the occasion, immediately after the National Sunday Service, members present at the Peace Embassy gathered in the Cheonshim Won Hall to offer a sincere prayer of gratitude. It was a deeply emotional and spiritual moment as brothers and sisters, in unity, gave thanks to Heavenly Parent and True Parents for the tremendous grace that this prayer sanctuary has poured into the lives of countless members over the past year.
Members reflected on their experiences over the last 12 months — from all-night vigils, regional prayer campaigns, to personal breakthroughs and spiritual rebirths. The atmosphere was one of thanksgiving, reverence, and renewed commitment to deepening their life of prayer and connection to the Will of God.
The celebration didn’t stop there.
On Monday, June 9, Nigeria joined hands with other nations in the Regional Cheonshim Won Prayer Vigil, offering even more heartfelt devotion to Heaven. This continental prayer gathering was a beautiful extension of the weekend’s spiritual momentum, as members collectively acknowledged the miracle of one year of Cheonshim Won in Nigeria and the greater West African region.
The anniversary is more than just a celebration of time — it’s a reminder of what happens when we make space for Heaven to dwell among us, both physically and spiritually. Nigeria is determined to go even deeper in prayer, action, and witnessing in this new season of growth.
